Nevada has three ways to get paid as a family caregiver.
1. Home and Community-Based Waiver (HCBW): enables elderly and/or disabled adults who require nursing facility level of assistance to receive care at home. This program offers partial consumer-direction, allowing a care recipient to select a caregiver from a list of approved providers.

2. Nevada Community Options Program for the Elderly Program (COPE): helps elderly and disabled adults receive care at home. Under this program, certain family members can be hired and paid to carry out personal care services. Some services may include: adult day and respite care.

3. Nevada Personal Care Services Program: assists elderly and disabled adults who cannot complete activities of daily living remain at home. This program pays friends and certain family members for providing personal care services.
